English Definitely an interesting premise - an American with obvious Chinese ancestry is promoted in his company, which means he is sent to China to work as a lawyer there. It is amusing in itself that he looks Chinese, but doesn't speak a word of Chinese, doesn't know the culture of his ancestors, and is exposed to both funny and somewhat depressing situations. Entertaining, charming, humorous, romantic. It doesn't push too hard, it's not foolish, there is a plot, albeit a clichéd one, but pleasant. A film that entertains and also takes advantage of the beautiful setting. Beautiful. ()
