The Emporio Armani shop window in Hong Kong is a small theatre of the global fashion industry. At night, a window cleaner sways across the stage, accompanied by classical Chinese music. The camera watches him from across the street, and the observation of this small event is interrupted now and then by passing pedestrians or traffic. The dressing of Armani windows is identical all over the world, in all branch stores. In the daytime, when the store is open, you will never encounter anything as banal as a cleaning person.
