English A light-hearted comedy with a titillating theme, albeit modestly filmed considering the time of its production and prevailing norms. It's not an impressive piece of filmmaking, relying on proven production methods and familiar faces in the cast. At least Miloš Kopecký is worth watching, as the role of a Renaissance hedonist suits him perfectly by nature. Overall impression: 50%. ()

English The impeccable Miloš Kopecký, first-class production design, picturesque cinematography and great historical-film style... I just didn't find the plot to be anything groundbreaking. I wanted to laugh, but apart from Pavel Landovský and Vladimír Brabec, this film didn't give me much opportunity to do so. Or so it seemed to me. It’s really too bad. ()
