At times, the biographical music documentary Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds with Shane MacGowan comes across as a no-holds-barred affair. Perhaps the intention was to make you, as the audience, feel like you had also had a few drinks in you while you were watching, although even so, you just could not keep up with Shane MacGowan with the booze for love nor money, no matter how hard you tried.
