Tetsuo II: Body Hammer is a film that falls short of the original film's strength and is a bit of a disappointment compared to what Shinya Tsukamoto first delivered. It's not a step backward, but it's not really a step forward either, more like stagnation in place that leads nowhere and stays with what the first film already presented. The color palette of the film certainly doesn't help much. It’s just average.
