This heroic-romantic film sets the issue of truth and honour triumphant even in death, portrayed by the figures of the three Baradlay brothers, against well-paying cowardice, compromise and careerism. After the death of Baradlay Kázmér, a supporter of the Emperor, his sons, denying their father's last wish and upon the encouragement of a strong, revolutionary-minded mother, stand behind the cause of 1848. Jenő, who seems to be the weakest and who is facing a wonderfully bright career, offers even his life for his brothers. (official distributor synopsis)
