Barbarella (1968)

English A comic book film created out of the ongoing sexual revolution, which speaks for itself. The markedly extravagant sci-fi bizarreness, which combines soft-eroticism and biblical motifs with fetish passages (e.g., smoking the “essence of a man" from a giant pipe in which several naked men swim) still enchants with visual originality, extraordinary craziness and self-ironic (hard to say if it’s intentional) humor. It's naive cheesy nonsense, but at the same time very entertaining, psychedelic and filmed with unprecedented creative zeal. The stories about the film's life in the subsequent years and its connection to Jane Fonda's private life are amazing.

Elite Squad: The Enemy Within (2010)

English Too little action, too much politics. Although it is still a realistic, well-crafted and well-acted film, it just doesn’t have what it takes. It's not as fun, straightforward, aggressive or catchy as the first part. And it's a shame, because Elite Squad IS a great and a huge surprise. This sequel, however, is rather disappointing.

The Rite (2011)

English Mikael Håfström should not have bothered with the below-average psychological stuff and should have instead focused on the horror elements that work well in the film. This way, many of the motifs (frogs, hooves) are repeated unnecessarily and lose their effectiveness. Despite the attractiveness of the theme, The Rite remains an average spectacle, saved by the excellent Anthony Hopkins and the terrifying exorcism scenes.

Asterix at the Olympic Games (2008)

English This amounts to something like how the French dragged Asterix, their national treasure, through a cesspool. This hogwash only has the plot and some of the characters in common with the original comics. Some of the gags are quite funny, but Delon's "Ave Já" isn’t funny even the first time. The first film is good and the second is worse, but it is also funnier. The third film is embarrassing and sad.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters (2007)

English I've never really never seen anything like this before! An incredible ride that is infinitely funny and completely out to lunch. Ingenious gags and humor so absurd that you will want to bang your head against the wall. This cannot be talked about, it has to be seen! An extra funny affair, but it might not be for everyone. For example, the spider in diapers singing rap in hell for a caramel unicorn was too much for even me...

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)

English The best acted film in the series, which does not change the fact that the screenplay is not very good and that the plot is much slower and longer than in the book. In contrast to the beautiful scenes (the introduction, the story of the three brothers, the ministry, the destruction of the Horcruxes...), there are really a lot of shots that are downright distracting and look like they are from another film (the dancing in the tent and everything during which half of the theatre burst out laughing). Because of this, it also failed to transfer to the screen the suffocating atmosphere of permanent tension, fear, and anxiety that should haunt the protagonists at every turn. The first part of the Hallows is not able to function independently and only evokes in the viewer a feeling of calm before the storm, which at least gives me hope that the second part will really get going and be breathtaking.
