Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)

English Although I liked the movie a lot on the first watch, I am not as enthusiastic the second time. In fact, it is a very dragged-out journey of revenge, which is unbelievably straightforward and offers nothing innovative, except for the fact that it is a musical. The actors are excellent, and with Depp, I had the feeling that he was still acting back then and not just pretending.

He Never Died (2015)

English This got to me. Incredibly subtle film that looks unremarkable the whole time, but at the same time it has a brilliant idea and excellent, detached execution, just like the detached hero of the film. Excellent concept, which fits into biblical dimensions, but that doesn't really matter. Henry Rollins is absolutely perfect in it, and the film is entertaining, bloody, and really gritty.

This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse (1967)

English "Tonight, I will embody myself into your corpse" still adds strength and shows that it is possible to go even further, to be disgusting and yet terrifying, all within a story that, while not particularly original, is well conceived. Marins focuses on the visual side of the film, which fully succeeds for him. His visions are full of fear and horror and reach deep into the viewer's subconscious.

Extraction (2015)

English As a whole, it's definitely not great, but some action scenes are absolutely fantastic. And yes, Kellan Lutz is to thank for that, surprisingly good. However, the biggest highlight of this movie is Gina Carano, who unfortunately didn't get as much action space as she deserved. That woman is amazing, and that's the main reason I'm going 50%.

This Is Spinal Tap (1984)

English Great movie. Really. I didn't even realize that I would have so much fun watching it, but this is simply a great combination of comedy, documentary, and also rock, which I still love so much. The band is perfectly assembled and it is clear that the script was tailor-made. Let's be honest, if I didn't know anything about the movie, I would be certain that it is more than just a funny group.

The Sun Was Setting (1951) (TV movie)

English If it were directed by Spielberg or someone similarly renowned, it would be very bad for him, but for Ed Wood, this is quite successful and he manages to keep the dramatic line quite alive and emotional. The final scene is even very well done and I liked its clear symbolism. It's not groundbreaking, but Ed didn't have only stupid ideas.

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (2015)

English I got what I expected. A pretty good horror comedy, which is spiced up with successful gore that is absolutely great in some scenes. But even better is the scene when one of the scouts is hanging from the window. That scene is unforgettable. A relatively original horror comedy that shows that dealing with zombies is still not so dreadful and that interesting movies can be found.

Rebel Highway - Roadracers (1994) (episode)

English One of the first films by Robert Rodriguez is actually not bad at all, but at the same time, it's not anything exceptional. It's simply what you would expect from Robert, just in a rather modest package. But you'll find brutality here, you'll find cool characters and here and there a good line and a well-done scene. The one on roller blades is fantastic.

Amadeus (1984)

English Finally I saw this highly praised film and I can only say that it is praised absolutely rightfully. Hulce and Abraham created beautiful and vibrant characters and presented the dramatic story in a way that will simply entertain you. The set design is magnificent, and even if you don't like opera, thanks to the fact that you only see fragments of it, you will be thrilled, just like by the way that back then essentially unknown actor managed to play a genius. You will believe him every second.

Pawn Sacrifice (2014)

English Chess players are definitely interesting people and, in a way, geniuses. One almost wonders why they dedicate their efforts only to the game. The creators of the film "Pawn Sacrifice" did what was necessary. They filmed a historical event in an interesting way, both from the perspective of the characters and from the perspective of their chess battle, which is truly captivating in the end.
