i wanted to make this list for a long time, so i finally found the time to finalize it:)
Here are all the WW1 related movies/tv series ive watched. I wont be listing any documentaries since that would be a list of its own :)
There are some obvious ww1 movies for which i wont go in the details since i am pretty sure everyone here have already seen them.
I will also state my humble rankings (out of 5) for each entry. Many are available free on youtube but it could be in foreing language without subs so ...
I hope you will find this list as a helpfull recommendation for some pretty amazing but long forgotten movies.
And of course any new recommendations are more than welcome.
Also there is a number of movies that i just could not find anywhere or subs for it. Those are Radetzkymarsch, Le pantaloon and Ceux de 14.

Obvious ones : 1917 , All quiet on the western front 3x, Lawrence of arabia,Paths of glory, They shall not grow old, Gallipoli, Beneath Hill 60, War horse, Passchendaele.

Bergen in Flammen (4/5) - Shortly before the First World War, an Italian and an Austrian take part in a mountaineering expedition together. Not long afterwards they find themselves fighting on different sides. 
The plot also features references to the mines on the Italian Front

Stoßtrupp 1917 (5/5) -  This powerful anti-war film statement focuses on the plight of a German unit in World War I that finds itself surrounded by British and French forces.

Westfront 1918: Vier von der Infanterie (4/5) - A group of German solders fight on the front line in France at the end of World War I.

Shoulder Arms (4/5) - Charlie Chaplin is a boot camp private who has a dream of being a hero who goes on a daring mission behind enemy lines.

J'accuse! (3/5)- The story of two men, one married, the other the lover of the other's wife, who meet in the trenches of the First World War, and how their tale becomes a microcosm for the horrors of war.

Verdun, visions d'histoire (5/5) - Dramatic re-enactment of the battle of Verdun during World War I, as seen by both French and German sides.

Torneranno i prati (3/5) - A group of soldiers face the difficulty of war during one night at the Italian Front.

Uomini contro (4/5) - On the Italian/Austrian front during World War I, a disastrous Italian attack upon the Austrian positions leads to a mutiny among the Italian troops.

Pădurea spânzuraţilor (4/5) - In 1916 as an officer in the Habsburg Army ethnic Romanian Apostol Bologa is torn between remaining loyal to the Habsburgs or deserting to the Romanian Army across enemy lines.
 
3 part Tichij Don (3/5) -  1. part is dealing with social issues in pre war russia 2. is from galicia 1914 until revolution 3. havent seens this one yet :D

The Grand Illusion (not seen) - During WWI, two French soldiers are captured and imprisoned in a German P.O.W. camp. Several escape attempts follow until they are eventually sent to a seemingly inescapable fortress.

Csillagosok, katonák (3/5) - During the Russian Civil War, the Red Army - aided by Hungarian Communists - and the White Army fight for control of the area surrounding the Volga.

Johnny Got His Gun (3/5) - During World War I, a patriotic young American is rendered blind, deaf, limbless, and mute by a horrific artillery shell attack. Trapped in what's left of his body, he desperately looks for a way to end his life.

2 part Doctor Zhivago 2002 (5/5) - Young and beautiful Lara is loved by three men: a revolutionary, a mogul, and a doctor. Their lives become intertwined with the drama of Russian revolution.

Les Croix de bois (5/5) - World War 1 begins and a young man enlists to fight for his country.

Journey's End 1930 (3/5)- In France, 1917, an alcoholic captain is afraid that his new replacement, his sweetheart's brother, will betray his downfall.

Capitaine Conan (4/5) - The war exploits of French captain Conan and his men during World War I on Bulgarian front and during the Allied intervention in the Russian Civil War.

King & Country (4/5) - During World War I, Army Private Arthur James Hamp is accused of desertion during battle. The officer assigned to defend him at his court-martial, Captain Hargreaves, finds out there is more to the case than meets the eye.

Dveselu putenis (3/5) - After losing his mother and his home, Arturs finds some consolation in joining the army. However, war is nothing like he imagined.

Les Fragments d’Antonin (4/5) - A psychiatrist who probes the mind of traumatized soldiers attempts to unlock the secret that drove a gentle but deeply-disturbed World War I veteran to the edge of insanity

Batalon (3/5) - Russia, 1917, WWI. This is the story of the 1st Russian Women's Battalion of Death, formed as part of an ill-conceived propaganda ploy by the Russian Provisional Government in late May of 1917.

Mars na drinu (2/5) - Serbian battery arrives to Cer Mountain, and, in decisive moment, enters the fight and throws off Austrian troops which penetrated into the country. 

Mons (3/5) - Rekonštrukcia bitky pri Monse z roku 1914 počas prvej svetovej vojny

Joyeux Noël (4/5) - In December 1914, an unofficial Christmas truce on the Western Front allows soldiers from opposing sides of the First World War to gain insight into each other's way of life.

Un long dimanche de fiançailles (4/5) - Tells the story of a young woman's relentless search for her fiancé, who has disappeared from the trenches of the Somme during World War One.

Hvězda zvaná Pelyněk (4/5) - At the end of May 1918, released prisoners return to the Rumburk garrison from Russian captivity, hoping that the war is over for them. 
The only thing they want is to get their withheld soldier's pay and then go home.  Upon hearing the spreading news that they should return to the front, a rebellion breaks out.

Štyridsaťštyri (4/5) -  A dramatic story about the anti-officer revolt of the 71st Trenčín Infantry Regiment in Kragujevac during the First World War.

Signum laudis (5/5) - The trenches of World War I provide for a captivating backdrop to the drama of Corporal Hoferik. 
In his devotion to the Habsburg Monarchy, he fanatically carries out his military orders, but he ultimately suffers the Empire's disfavor.

Anjel milosrdenstva (4/5) - The wife of an officer of the Austrian army decides to surprise her husband and to visit him in his unit at Christmas time. 
She is disappointed to find only a cruel soldier. Fate makes her be present at the time when he is suffering from pain and slowly dying. She asks a therapeutic, a prisoner in a near-by camp, to rid her husband of his pain.

2 part Dobrý voják Švejk and Poslušně hlásím (5/5) - Famous local legend about "silly" soldier Švejk. Strong satyre about ww1 and austro-hungary, also i am not sure why but its considered to be a christmas movie here :D

3 part Červené víno (3/5) - Social struggle of vinemaker and his family in Slovakia during 20th century

3 part Tisícročná včela (3/5) - Stonemasons family living in small village in rural Slovakia during 1887 - 1917

Poslední dopis (4/5) - A thrilling story that makes you think not only about the role that a postage stamp can play in people's lives, but also about the question of human conscience, 
about the uncertainty that accompanies every pursuit of justice.

Dialog s doprovodem děl (4/5) - Conversation with young Alexander Fleming with local officer on western front about treating a wounded soldiers

Živý bič (4/5)-  poor mining village of Ráztoky at the end of the First World War. Eva Hlavajová, whose husband is at the front, succumbs to the seducer, the notary Okolicky, and commits suicide under the pressure of the village. 
After returning home, Adam Hlavaj has an internal battle and decides not to take revenge on the seducer. He is the first to find "lost hands" and becomes a central figure in awakening the rural community to active actions.
