Biography

Andrei Gruzsniczki was the first assistant director to Lucian Pintilie on Next Stop Paradise (1998) and Niki Ardelean, colonel în rezerva (Niki and Flo, 2003). His first feature film, Cealalta Irina (The Other Irene, 2008) won the FIPRESCI Prize at CinePécs Moveast and the Best Romanian Feature Film award at the Transylvania Festival. Quod Erat Demonstrandum (2013) won the Special Jury Prize at the Rome Festival and the Golden Taiga Award, while Zavera (2019), won the Cinelink WIP's TRT Award at the Sarajevo Festival. Andrei Gruzsniczki has also written and directed short films, TV productions, and documentaries.
