Anna Tchernakova graduated from VGIK (class of Marlen Khutsiev) in 1993. Her first feature VISHNYOVYY SAD/THE CHERRY ORCHARD (1993) was awarded with Grand-prix at the film festival in Minsk and also participated in numerous festivals, including Kinotavr and Tokyo International Film Festival.
