Francisco Barreiro

Actor and director, graduated from acting career at CasAzul (Argos Performing Arts). He has worked in more than 15 productions with directors such as Alberto Villareal, Alberto Lomnitz, Raquel Araujo, David Gaitán, among others. In 2000, he obtained the Best Actor award at the National University Theater Festival (FNTU). He was a FONCA fellow in 2011-2012, in the Scenic Creators category. He has worked since 2005 with the collective Lagartijas Tiradas al Sol, appearing in various theaters and festivals. In 2014, he premiered his first theater project as an author, director and performer Está Escrita en sus Campos, which is presented in various theaters and festivals in Mexico. In cinema he has worked in more than 20 feature films and short films, both in Mexico, as the us and Brazil. With directors such as: Nicolás Pereda, María Novaro, Julio Hernández Cordón, among others. In 2017, he was nominated for the Silver Goddesses for Best Male Co-Acting for the film El Comienzo del Tiempo. In 2021, he wins the prestigious ics Award for Best Male Co-Acting of 2020 for the film Fauna.
