Biography (1)

Born in 1942 in Lausanne, Yves Yersin studied photography, then trained as a cameraman with Rolf Seeger. Several of his films have been screened at Locarno, such as Le Panier à viande (1966, co-directed with Jacqueline Veuve), Die letzten Heimposamenter (1973), also a prize-winner at Berlin, Les Petites Fugues, selected for the Concorso internazionale and winner of the Ecumenical Jury Prize in 1979, as well as Inventaire lausannois (1982) and Tableau noir (2013).
