Pedro Collantes

Pedro Collantes is a screenwriter, director and editor. He studied film history at the University of Valladolid, specializing in editing at TAI and later studied a Masters of Film at the Netherlands Film Academy, in Amsterdam. Since 2018 he is member of the Academy of the Oscar Awards (AMPAS). His short films have participated in international festivals, including IFFR Rotterdam, Chicago International Film Festival and Seminci, and have received awards at the Malaga Spanish Film Festival, ALCINE, Palm Springs, Clermont Ferrand and Cinespaña Toulouse, among others. In 2018 he wrote and directed Ato san nen, a Spanish/French co-production that was shortlisted for the Cesar award for best short film. El arte de volver, which was developed through the Biennale College Cinema program at the Venice Biennale, is his first feature film.
