Biography

Has a Business Administration degree. He studied Film in New York. He has also worked as an associate producer for television. In 1998, he founded Mantarraya Productions. He directed the short films Aura and Homeward Bound. He is the producer of several acclaimed feature films like Japón (2002), Batalla en el cielo (2005) and Luz silenciosa (2007), by Carlos Reygadas; Sangre (2005) and Los bastardos (2008), by Amat Escalante; Nippon e Yokoso (2005), by Pablo Aldrete and La influencia (2007) by Pedro Aguilera. He was named one of the “10 producers to watch” by Variety magazine in 2005.
