Biography

Film, theater, and television actress. In 2007, she made her theatrical debut in the thriller Even the Wind is Afraid, that earned her the Best Actress award at the Festival International du Film D'Amiens. She later filmed Paradas Continuas (2009) and participated in the TV series Locas de Amor, by Carmen Armendariz. In 2010, she starred in the films El Baile de San Juan, a Mexico-Spain-France co-production, and También La Lluvia, a Mexico-Spain-Bolivia co-production, by acclaimed director Iciar Bollaín; and later came Tlatelolco, a story based on real events. In 2014, she explored comedy with the films Happy Times and Cantinflas. In 2015, she was nominated for the Ariel Award in the Best Female Performance category, for her work in the film Las Horas Contigo (2015), and in 2016, as Best Female Co-Acting, for Tiempos Felices (2014). Cassandra has remained active in theater, participation in plays such as Immigrants with Extraordinary Abilities, Skin on Fire, The Gamma Ray Effect, and The Weightles, among others. She is remembered for projects as powerful as the Alejandra Marquez film Las Niñas Bien and the HBO comedy Los Espookys.
