Biography

Undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the University of Antioquia and master’s degree in Creative Writing at the National University of Colombia. His first short film, Camino del agua (Water Path) premiered worldwide at the Berlinale in 2015, he received the Macondo Award from the Colombian Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences for Best Short Film in 2016, he also received the awards for Best Fiction Short Film and Best Editing at the 13th BOGOSHORTS, and it premiered in Colombian cinemas in 2018. He participated in festivals with his short film El Tamaño de las Cosas (The Size of Things), which received the Generation K-plus award at the Berlinale 2019.
