Biography
Mila Kunis has established herself as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after, vivacious and engaging actresses. Since beginning her career in acting, she has already fostered an impressive body of work that includes major motion picture and television roles.
Kunis finished filming Disney’s Oz: The Great and Powerful, a prequel to 1939’s The Wizard of Oz, in which she stars opposite James Franco as Theodora, the youngest sister of three witches. The film is directed by Sam Raimi from a revised script by David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole) and is produced by Joe Roth (Alice in Wonderland). This past winter, she became the new face of Dior’s ready-to-wear line.
In 2010, Kunis starred opposite Natalie Portman as Lily in Fox Searchlight’s critically acclaimed, Golden Globe- and Oscar®-nominated supernatural drama Black Swan, directed by Darren Aronofsky. For her performance, she was awarded the Marcello Mastroianni Award at the 2010 Venice International Film Festival, and she received Best Supporting Actress nominations at the Screen Actors Guild, Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Movie awards in 2011. The film was named one of AFI’s Movies of the Year for 2010.
Kunis’ other notable film credits include Friends With Benefits, Date Night, The Book of Eli, Extract, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Max Payne.
Kunis is best known for her roles on two of FOX’s most successful shows: That ’70s Show and the Emmy-nominated animated show Family Guy. On That ’70s Show, she played Jackie Burkhart and earned two YoungStar Awards for Best Young Actress/Performance in a Comedy TV Series.
