Uisenma Borchu was born in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, in 1984. Her family moved to East Germany in 1989. In 2003 she graduated from high school in Staßfurt. During this time she wrote for the German youth press organization Jugendpresse Deutschland and played competitive volleyball, winning the German championships in 2001.
