David Menke, born the 20th June 1982 in Cologne (Germany), was raised in a musical family and started to learn violin, piano and jazz saxophone. After his Tonmeister studies and work as orchestral engineer in Vienna, Cologne and Paris he founded his own company PDV Records and started working in film music (as music editor and assistant he worked together with Gabriel Yared (In the land of blood and honey by Angelina Jolie), Nathaniel Mechaly (Taken 2 and 3 by Olivier Megaton, The Grandmaster by Wong Kar Wai), Pierre Adenot (The beauty and the beast by Christoph Gans). In 2014 he composed the original score and songs for Stung by Benni Diez together with his collaborator Antonio Gambale.
