Paul Grimault (1905-1994) was a French screenwriter, director and founder of the modern French school of film animation. He studied drawing, but then shot a number of short films at Les Gémeaux studio, as well as the first French feature color animated film, The Curious Adventures of Mr. Wonderbird (LaBergère et le ramoneur,1953).
