Mike Day is a Peabody Award-winning Scottish director and cameraman. The former solicitor founded the Intrepid Cinema production company in 2009 before shooting The Guga Hunters of Ness (2011), his first documentary film for the BBC. This was followed by the multi award-winning The Islands and the Whales (2016), which screened at the Zurich Film Festival in its Documentary Film Competition section and, among others, was nominated for a BAFTA. His third feature-length documentary film was Cowboy Poets (2022).
