Biography

Turkish director and screenwriter. Born in 1988 in Akhisar, he studied Turkish literature at Bogazici (Bosphorus) University in Istanbul. His first short film "The Slope" (2008) had its world premiere at the Edinburgh festival and was screened at numerous festivals. His second short, "Glimmer", participated in the Berlinale in 2012. Hus feature debut "Album" was an award-winner at this year's Cannes festival (France 4 Visionary Award), winner of the FIPRESCI prize at the Jerusalem festival and the main prize for best film at the Sarajevo festival.
