Peruvian-Swiss Klaudia Reynicke is a screenwriter, cinematographer and film director. She studied Visual Arts and Sociology, and in 2005 traveled to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2006 she was first assistant director to Jacqueline Veuve. Her feature film debut came in 2013 with the documentary Así son los hombres? which premiered in Visions du Réel. Reynicke’s first feature-length fiction was Il nido (2016), which premiered at Locarno, as well as Love Me Tender. She has also directed several short films and television projects.
