Biography

Studied law for four years, but eventually abandoned his studies in order to devote himself to the theater. After appearing in a few films as an actor, he was hired as an assistant director to Rafael Baledón, Federico Curiel “Pichirilo”, Arturo Martínez and Manuel Muñoz. He made his directorial debut with Qué hacer con mis hijos (1963) and División Narcóticos (1963). In 1989 he ventured into the home video industry, where he continued to work until recently. In 2000, he returned to filming in 35mm with the film Blind Heat/Blind Love, a Mexican production co-directed with Adolfo Martínez Solares in the us He has acted in more than sixty-five films, and was nominated for the Ariel Award for Best Supporting Actor.
