Biography

Maider Oleaga has written and directed the documentaries Verabredung (2017), winner of the Doc España section at the Valladolid International Film Festival (Seminci), Esperanza (2012) and Amaren ideia (Mum’s idea, 2010), as well as several fiction shorts including Sitios prestados al aire (Vacant Spaces, 2010) and Luce neón (Light Up Neon), a segment of the collective film Gure Oroitzapenak / Destierros (Exiles, 2018), presented in Zinemira at the San Sebastian Festival. The Donostia event also screened the documentary Iragan Gunea Berlin (2016), the germ of Verabredung. The project Paso al límite (Stepping into the Boundary), now converted into the documentary Muga deitzen da pausoa, was selected in 2015 for the first edition of the Ikusmira Berriak programme. The film was shown at the Gijon Festival.
