Gustavo Rondón Córdova studied communications at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and directing at FAMU in Prague. As a director, screenwriter and producer he has made several short films that have been shown at prestigious film festivals, such as the Berlinale and Tribeca, and also at other fests in Biarritz, Toulouse and Havana. His most recent short film Nostalgia (2012) was shown in competition at the Berlinale. Córdova's feature debut The Family had its world premiere as part of Critics' Week at this year's Cannes festival.
