Jorge Riquelme Serrano created, in 2015, the production company Laberinto Films, with its headquarters in Santiago de Chile, dedicated to developing independent films in Latin America. His directorial debut, Camaleón, premiered in 2016 at the BFI London Film Festival, where it competed for the Sutherland Award. The film received the Best Director accolade at the Pedro Sienna Awards for Chilean audiovisual production and was nominated for Best Film and Best Screenplay. Algunas bestias (Some Beasts), his second feature, bagged three of the four Films in Progress 35 awards at Toulouse.
