Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1949. He is President of the Board of Directors of the North American Film Institute and of the Administration Advisers of Cinematographic Advanced Studies, belonging to the same institute. He is also part of the Board of supervisers of the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
