Biography

Stage and film director. He was co-founder of the Teatro Ulises and the Teatro Orientación. He worked as a secretary of the National Conservatory and as the director of the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA). He wrote theater reviews for the weekly periodical El Espectador, which he co-founded with Humberto Rivas. He began working in film in the first half of the 1930s.
