Alister Grierson

Biography

ALISTER GRIERSON is a graduate of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS). He wrote and directed the short film Bomb, which won Best Screenplay, Best Comedy and People's Choice Awards at Tropfest in 2005.

After graduating from AFTRS in 2004, he co-wrote and directed the feature film Kokoda, the true story of a platoon of soldiers lost in the jungle of New Guinea while fighting a battle in 1942. The film was a critical and commercial success in Australia. It was written, shot and released in less than a year for $2 million, and was one of the top-five grossing Australian films of 2006.
