Vera Plívová-Šimková (1934) is a Czech screenwriter and director successfully profiling in the field of films for children and youth. She studied directing at FAMU. She gained experience at Barrandov as an assistant to other filmmakers. She debuted with her authorial medium-length film Gentlemen, Find Your Dancing Partner! (Chlapci, zadejte se!, 1963).
