David Serrano

Biography

Director, producer, scriptwriter and adapter of literary works for film, theatre and musical theatre. He has written the screenplays for the film The Other Side of the Bed (2002), of which a remake was made in France and a stage adaptation premiered in several countries; and its sequel The 2 Sides of the Bed (2005). As a film director and screenwriter, he made Soccer Days (2003), one of the biggest box-office hits in Spanish cinema, which earned him a nomination for the Goya Awards as a new director. As an associate producer he has worked on the films Gente de mala calidad (2008) and Friend Zone (2009). In theatre he has adapted, co-produced and directed the plays Good People (Tony Award 2011), A Steady Rain, Venus in Furs and The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs.
