Biography

Ryan Simpkins is no stranger when it comes to making movies. At age four she booked her first film for Hallmark's Hall of Fame, FALLEN ANGEL (with Gary Sinise). She has continued to build her resume and chararcter ever since. Ryan was in the critically acclaimed film SHERRYBABY, starring opposite Maggie Gyllenhaal, and at age seven, she debuted on Broadway in FESTEN (with Julianna Margulies.) She then began production on the film PRIDE & GLORY, in which she and her brother Ty played the children of Colin Farrell. Next came starring roles in GARDENS OF THE NIGHT and THE GARY HOUSEMAN STORY. Ryan held her own in SURVEILLANCE, for which she scored a Best Actress Award at the NYC Horror Film Festival and was the first child to win the award. She was then cast in REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes, playing the child of Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, again alongside her brother. This led to Fashion designer and debut director Tom Ford casting Ryan as Jennifer in A SINGLE MAN.
