Biography (3)
Tomáš Vorel (b. 1957, Prague), director, screenwriter and occasional actor (long-term association with Sklep theatre). Following a series of amateur films and direction studies at FAMU, he debuted with the story showcase The Prague Five (1988). His second film, the unconventional period musical Smoke (1990), is today considered one of the most remarkable Czech films in recent decades.
