Biography
Carolina Markowicz has written and directed 6 short films selected for festivals including Cannes, Locarno, Toronto, SXSW and AFI and winners of more than 60 awards: 69-Luz Square (2007), Edifício Tatuapé Mahal (2014), Postergados (2016), Namoro à distancia (2017), O órfão (2018), premiered in the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs at Cannes, where it won the Queer Palm, and Spit (2019). Carvão, her first feature, was selected for Films in Progress 2022 (Toulouse).
