Biography (4)
Brillante Mendoza hails from San Fernando, Philippines, and began working as a production designer for TV commercials and feature films after attending the University of Santo Tomas. His first length feature Masahista (2005) won Locarno's Golden Leopard. His filmography includes Manoro (2006), Slingshot (2007) and Captive (2012) competed for Official selection at 2012 Berlin International Film Festival.
