Biography

She studied communication at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) and film directing in the CUEC-UNAM. Her documentaries have been shown in movie theaters, Mexican and international film festivals and Latin American television. She won the Ariel from the Mexican Academy of Film Arts and Sciences for Best Short Documentary (2011). In 2002, she received the support of CONACULTA, IMCINE, Ibermedia, UNESCO, and the Rockefeller Foundation. As head of Cinefusion, the production company of the Universidad de Guadalajara, she has co-produced full-length feature films like The Harvest, Alejandro Colunga: Fogonero del Delirio, Fecha de Caducidad, Corazón del Tiempo, Otro tipo de música, El último guión… Buñuel en la memoria, Batalla en el Cielo, Desierto Adentro and Salvador Allende.
