Biography

He works in cinema, television, theatre and narrative. With the film Domingo siete, which he wrote and directed, he won in 1996 the prize Ariel to the Best Medium-Length Fiction Film awarded by Mexican Academy of Film Sciences and Arts. He has also written and directed the short films En vivo (2002), El número 23 (2002) and Medalla al empeño (2004). He wrote the script for the feature film Pachito Rex (México, 2001) and several plays, among which we could mention 1822, el año que fuimos Imperio (2000) and Lascuráin, o la brevedad del poder (2005). He teaches script and direction at CUEC and CCC. In 2009 he has directed 40° a la sombra.
