Biography
His first short film as a director, Hilarri, won the grand prize for Basque cinema at the Bilbao Short Film and Documentary Film Festival in 2000. He directed the series Seis Hermanas, Derecho A Soñar and Néboa. With his short film, Das kind (2013), he has won more than fifty international awards and more than two hundred selections at festivals around the world. In 2021 he released his first feature film, Érase Una Vez Euskadi.
