Biography

Director, scriptwriter, actress in film, theatre and television. She studied classical and contemporary dance which she combined with the studies in Psychology. During her career as an actress she has worked with José Luis Cuerda, Fernando Trueba, Pedro Olea, Judith Colell, Bajo Ulloa, Jaime Camino, Vicente Aranda, Ventura Pons, Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, Montxo Armendáriz, José María Forn, Juan Vicente Córdoba and Roger Gual. In 1998 she debuted as a director with her first short film, Déjeme que le cuente. The following year she filmed Lalia (1999), which received a Goya award for the Best Documentary Short Film. Her next projects were the made for TV films Quia (2000) and Las hijas de Mohamed (2003). In 2003 she also wrote and directed the documentary feature Elena Dimitrievna Diakonova “Gala”, about Salvador Dali’s wife and muse. Her telefilm Cosas que pasan received the Award of the Public at the 9th Festival of Málaga and the award for the Best TV movie at the Barcelona Film Awards. In her film Pretextos (2007) she acts alongside Ramón Madaula and Laia Marull.
