Biography

Stian Kristiansen studied directing and television production at Stavanger University College before he was accepted for the directing programme at The Norwegian Film School, graduating in 2006. In his younger years Kristiansen worked as an actor at Rogaland Theater for several years, and also acted in films such as Benny (1998), Mongoland (2001) and This Is the Song You Need (2004).

Kristiansen directed several short films, such as Adam and Eve 99 (1999), Blindsight (2000), Kiss Me God Damn It! (2002) Bad Investment (2004) and Hidden (2006), before he made his feature film debut with the youth drama The Man Who Loved Yngve in 2008, which was a huge box office success and won four Amandas (Norwegian Oscars). He has since directed the short feature The Video Boy (2011) and the sequel to The Man Who Loved Yngve; I Travel Alone (2011).

Kiss Me, You Fucking Moron is a result of his great passion for theatre and soccer.
