Claudia Costafreda

Biography

In 2016, she graduated from ESCAC with her final degree project, Néboa, a short film that received awards such as Best Short Film at the 2017 Huesca Festival, selection at the Málaga Festival, and a nomination for the 2018 Goya Awards. A year later, she directed Benidorm 2017, her second short film, which won the Silver Biznaga for Best Short Film at the Málaga Festival. She has worked as a screenwriter on the series Veneno by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi about Cristina la Veneno’s life with the support of Suma Content and Buendía Estudios. Along with Ana Rujas, she is the creator of the series Cardo, winner of the Feroz Award for Best Dramatic Series and Best Lead Actress, and the Ondas Award for Best International Series, among other recognitions. In Cardo, she has also worked as a screenwriter and director.
