Eduardo Chapero-Jackson

Biography

Born in Madrid in 1971 from a Spanish father and North American mother. Between 1989 and 1996 he studied Fine Arts and Film in New York. He returned to Spain to work as a freelance and he exhibited his photographic works. In 1997 he joined Sogecine where he worked as a production coordinator and manager of script development. He left the company in 2005 to devote to several projects, among them Contracuerpo, his first short film. In 2007 he made his second short film, Alumbramiento, which was premiered at La Biennale in Venice, being awarded the Prize UIP to the Best European Short Film and lately the prize to the Best Fiction Short Film in 2007, awarded by European Film Academy. In 2009 he has written and directed his third short film The End.
