Fien Troch

The Belgian-born film, theatre and ad director Fien Troch has won numerous awards at film festivals around Europe for his short films. His feature debut Someone Else's Happiness was screened in the Forum of Independents section at the Karlovy Vary festival.

Troch has a distinctive, unmistakable style in which he combines a highly realistic visual style with loose storylines. His pictures are frequently intimate probes into their protagonists' lives. The same applies to his most recent picture Home, which maps the lives of three teenagers when one of them is released from prison.
