Biography

Ione Hernández has a degree in Social Sciences from the Universidad del País Vasco (Basque country), has completed Superior Studies in Comunication in France and has received a Masters in Film in Los Angeles. From there on she continued to attend numerous seminars on directing, producing and screenwriting, specializing in documentaries. She has directed short films such as Juego, El palacio de la luna (2008) y Aizea, City of Wind. Some of her documentaries include 1% esquizofrenia (2006), Arte gay busca casa (2012) and JK5022, una cadena de errores (2013). She was also assistant director in Julio Medem’s documentary La pelota vasca. She also works as a writer and producer and has directed a few plays.
