Biography

Víctor Iriarte is an artist, filmmaker and film programmer. He worked as assistant director on Isaki Lacuesta’s first feature film, Cravan versus Cravan (2001) and as DOP on the feature film Buenas noches, España (2011) by Raya Martin. He created his own production company Cajaconcosasdentro in 2005 and since then has completed a cinematic and audiovisual work that has been presented in the international circuit of festivals and contemporary art centres. He has directed shorts like Decir adiós (2007), Apuntes para una película de espías (2008), El mar (2010), Visiones (2013) o Cosas que ya no existen (2014), among others. Foremost by Night is his first feature fiction film and it made its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival’s Giornate degli Autore.
