Biography
Emily Atef was born to French and Iranian parents. She grew up in Los Angeles, France, and London before moving back to Berlin to study film directing at the DFFB Film Academy (Deutsche Film und Fernsehakademie Berlin). Molly’s Way (2005), her first feature film, won a total of eleven International awards, including the Grand Jury Award at the Mar del Plata Film Festival in Argentina. After completing the principal photography on her second feature film, The Stranger in Me, Emily co-wrote the script of her third feature at the Cinéfondation-La Résidence du Festival.
