Frida Kempff

Frida Kempff was born in 1977 in Sala, Sweden, and is educated at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. With a strong passion and respect for her subjects and a deep cinematic voice, Frida Kempff has made several award-winning shorts focusing on the vulnerability and existential questions of her protagonists. In 2010 Frida directed Bathing Micky, which won the Jury Prize in the Official Selection at Cannes the same year. Winter Buoy is her first feature.
