Biography
Swedish actress Pernilla August holds a remarkable list of roles with lasting impressions. She starred in Ingmar Bergman's FANNY AND ALEXANDER (1982), Bille August's THE BEST INTENTIONS (1992) for which she won as Best Actress at Cannes Film Festival, JERUSALEM (1996) and George Lucas' STAR WARS EPISODE 1 and 2 (1999, 2002). Pernilla's credits also include prizewinning stage performances directed by Ingmar Bergman, amongst others THE DREAM PLAY, THE DOLL HOUSE and HAMLET. During the last years Pernilla has worked in Sweden as well as abroad with a variety of acclaimed director's such as Per Fly, Kristian Petri, Ole Bornedal, Simon Staho and Björn Runge.
